The national holidays are announced for the whole Malaysia and are due to some important national or international reason. The local holidays are announced due to some local reasons like birthday of rulers or some important local festivals. So let’s have a look at the holidays in 2013 in Malaysia.

List of Malaysian national and states holiday 2013

  • New Year’s Day

This one is announced on the very first day of new year. The date is 1 January 2013 and day is Tuesday.

  • Birthday of Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan

It’s a local holiday and will only be in Negere Sembilan. Date is 13 January 2013 and day is Monday.

It’s a national holiday and is on 10 February, 2013.

  • 2nd day of Chinese New Year

On next day to Chinese New Year, i.e. 11 February 2013.

  • Anniversary of Installation of the Sultan of Trengganu

It’s a state holiday and is in the state Trengganu. Sunday, 4 March 2013
